There are few words in the English language I don’t like. The N word and any variation of, P word (paleo, ugh) and the F word. No, not that one, the other one. Unfortunately it has become mainstream again, not in a ‘reclaimed by the community’ way, but by trolls on the internet.
The Fabulous Adam Richard is sick of cyber-bullying. You can call someone #FGT on line, but heaven help you if you make a comment on someone’s hair. The PC patrol has their priorities screwed up. Gossiping an bitching about celebrities is a founding block of human interaction and acceptance. Take that away, and the world would be a boring place.
Throughout the show Adam covers the ideas of celebrity, his experience with the industry (the good and the bad – Who doesn’t want to bitch-slap Paul Fenech?), Hugh Jackman and his take on a typical ‘Voice’ audition is spot on and very Mariah-esque.
Adam’s wry, loveable style deserves to be heard by more people. So if you are considering seeing his show in the next few days, or in Sydney or even just at a random Shelf show, go do it. You won’t be disappointed.
*NB Whether the Wolverine is gay or not is irrelevant. What is important is that I’ve met him and he smells AMAAAZING.
