This was the show that got me addicted to Fleety (if you pardon the bad bad taste joke).
Fleety’s true tale of his decade of drug addiction, was not only funny (when many pieces of this topic are not) but highlighted what a true performer Fleety is.
Granted after this show he became known as the junkie Comedian (which is strange since he’s been clean for years) but that to some point must relate to what a dramtic impact fleety has had on the audience. A lot of other comedians focus on aspects of their life in sets, but few are remembered as vividly as “ten Years”
EDIT 2018: Stumbled upon this old tweet of fleety’s linking to the full episode of ‘Smallest Room In the House’ where he did this show. Such a great series, I wish it was more widely available. Off the top of my head the series also featured living legends Denise Scott (and the story of her funny womb), Sue Ann Post (goddamn legend) and James O’Loghlin.
